Paint Night Fundraiser for GIFT

On 22 July the DC 99s organized a Paint Night in order to raise money for a $150 GIFT (Girls in Flight Training) week registration for a Ninety-Nine. The paint night was hosted by WIFA (Washington International Flight Academy) at Gaithersburg Airpark.
The GIFT Academy will be held at KFDK on August 8-14. It is a volunteer-led effort to provide a week of discounted flight training for women and girls. The organizers strive to create a supportive atmosphere where participants can make a lot of progress toward or complete a rating. A DPE will be available at the end of the week and there is a written testing site at FDK as well. There is a hotel deal for out-of-town participants.
